The Fiji National University (FNU) Law School made history by winning its first-ever Inter‑Tertiary National Moot Competition in 2024—cementing its place among the top legal institutions in the country.

The victorious team—Arnold Chanel, Talei Karavaki, and Peter Racolo—delivered a standout performance in the final, defeating the University of Fiji in a closely contested round held at the High Court of Fiji. The final was adjudicated by a panel of three High Court judges, including Justice Dane Tuigeregere.

On their path to the championship, the FNU team also claimed a major victory over the University of the South Pacific (USP) during pool play—marking a clean sweep against both of the country’s other major law schools.

The team was expertly mentored by Assistant Lecturer Milika Ligabalavu, whose dedication and coaching were instrumental in preparing the students for national success.

This landmark win not only highlights the talent and discipline of FNU’s law students but also signals the Law School’s rise as a competitive force in legal education.
