The Fiji National University Law Students Association has reaffirmed its commitment to equality and the rule of law, stating that racial discrimination has no place in society.
Speaking during the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, FNULSA President Arnold Chanel said it is the duty of future lawyers to advocate for equality, uphold the rule of law, and ensure that every Fijian is treated with dignity and fairness.
Treasurer of the Association, Timoci Mocebalavu, said the event provided a platform for law students to demonstrate their dedication to legal education, social justice, and active participation in national conversations around human rights.
He added that law, when properly understood and applied, can be a powerful force for social change.
